About
Jack of Sports is a Toronto multi-sport program for kids that introduces young athletes to a variety of sports in a single program. Instead of committing to one sport for a full season, kids rotate through different activities each week -- soccer one week, basketball the next, floor hockey after that.
This format is ideal for younger kids who haven't found 'their' sport yet. Trying multiple sports builds general athleticism (coordination, balance, throwing, catching, running) while letting kids discover what they enjoy most. It takes the pressure off committing to a single sport too early.
Classes are organized by age group with programs starting as young as age 2 (with parent participation). The coaching emphasis is on fundamental movement skills and having fun, not competition. Coaches are trained to work with young children, which means instructions are simple, demonstrations are clear, and there's lots of positive encouragement.
The multi-sport approach also prevents burnout. Kids who specialize in one sport at a young age often burn out by their teens. Playing multiple sports keeps things fresh and develops a wider range of physical skills.
Programs run in gyms and outdoor fields across Toronto depending on the season. Indoor winter programs switch to outdoor programming in spring and summer. Check their website for locations near you.
Class sizes are typically 8-15 kids per coach. Equipment is provided for all sports, so you don't need to buy soccer cleats, basketball shoes, and a baseball glove -- just send your kid in athletic clothes and sneakers.

Why Kids Love It
Jack of Sports rotates through different sports each week, so kids who can't decide between soccer, basketball, and baseball get to try them all. The non-competitive format keeps it fun rather than stressful, and coaches make it about building skills and confidence rather than winning.
