Nanai Gate Entrance is the secondary access point for Inokashira Park Zoo, located near the zoo's aquarium (Aquatic Life House) section in the Mitaka portion of Inokashira Park. Inokashira Park Zoo is split across two sections of the park — the main zoo section with mammals and birds, and the aquarium and reptile section — and this gate allows visitors to enter directly into the aquarium side without walking the full park path from the main entrance. For families with strollers or young children who tire quickly, using the Nanai Gate strategically can save meaningful walking time and energy.

There's no separate admission at this gate — it uses the same zoo ticket purchased at either entrance. The gate area itself is a pleasant entry point along the park's wooded walking paths. The surrounding Mitaka area of Inokashira Park is serene and popular with local families for leisurely walks entirely separate from the zoo grounds themselves. Cherry blossom season in late March makes any route through this park exceptional, and the Nanai Gate path is one of the more scenic approaches.
