Rajská Zahrada

Rajská Zahrada — which translates roughly to 'Paradise Garden' — is a neighborhood park in Prague's Žižkov district that lives up to its name for families with young children. It's a calm, pretty green space where local families come to unwind, let kids play, and enjoy the kind of unhurried outdoor time that sightseeing-heavy itineraries don't always provide.

The park is well-suited to younger children — babies in strollers, toddlers learning to walk on grass, and kids up to around age 10 who enjoy open-air play in a relaxed environment. The paths are mostly stroller-friendly, and the overall scale of the park is manageable, so parents don't need to worry about children wandering too far.

Žižkov is one of Prague's most interesting residential neighborhoods, historically known for its working-class roots and bohemian character. Visiting this park puts you in the heart of that local fabric — a very different experience from the tourist-heavy Old Town just a few kilometers away. The nearby Žižkov Television Tower, one of Prague's most distinctive landmarks, is visible from parts of the area and worth a look even if you don't go inside.

Entry is free. There are no on-site amenities, so pack snacks and water before your visit. The surrounding Žižkov streets have good cafes and local restaurants if you want to extend your outing into lunch. Weekday mornings are the most peaceful time to visit.
