Lake Lhota

Lake Lhota is a recreational lake resort on the outskirts of Prague that gives families the feeling of a proper summer holiday getaway without the travel. The lake sits in a green, forested setting and the resort has been developed thoughtfully around it — sandy beaches, lifeguarded swimming zones, water slides, paddleboat and kayak rentals, and plenty of lawn space for picnicking and relaxing.

Lake Lhota is located southeast of the city center, roughly 20–30 minutes by car depending on traffic. Public transport options exist but the car makes packing beach gear significantly easier. Plan for summer visits — the lake and beach facilities are seasonal. Weekday mornings offer the most relaxed experience before the weekend crowds arrive.
