Parc Vinet play fountains

The Parc Vinet play fountains are a small seasonal water feature in Montreal's Saint-Henri neighborhood. This is one of the city's more modest jeux d'eau installations, with ground-level jets that provide gentle water play for young children.

The fountains are best suited for toddlers and younger kids, roughly ages 2 through 8. The water pressure is relatively gentle compared to some of Montreal's larger splash pads, which actually makes it ideal for children who are still getting comfortable with water play. Older kids who want more intense splash pad action will find it too tame.

The play fountains operate seasonally, typically from mid-June through early September. The surrounding Parc Vinet has some green space and seating, though the park is on the smaller side. It's more of a quick stop than a half-day destination.

There are no changing rooms or washroom facilities at the park. The Saint-Henri neighborhood has been undergoing significant development in recent years, so food and cafe options have been expanding along nearby Rue Notre-Dame Ouest.

With only one Google review at the time of this writing, this is clearly a lesser-known spot. That's actually an advantage if you want a water play experience without the crowds that larger splash pads attract on hot summer days.

Parc Vinet's play fountains work best as part of a broader Saint-Henri neighborhood visit. Combine it with a walk along the Lachine Canal or a stop at Atwater Market (about a 15-minute walk east) to fill out a full family outing.
