Land of the Dragons

Land of the Dragons is Busch Gardens Williamsburg's dedicated children's area — the section of the park designed specifically for the youngest visitors who haven't yet grown into the park's signature coasters and thrill rides.

For families with toddlers and preschoolers, this is critically important: it transforms a theme park that might otherwise frustrate parents of young children (watching everything from the sidelines while older siblings ride) into a place where the youngest family member has their own complete experience. Dragon-themed kiddie rides, a multi-level treehouse play structure with slides and climbing elements, and interactive water features give ages 2-7 a full afternoon of Busch Gardens-quality entertainment.

The treehouse is the centerpiece — a large indoor/outdoor climbing structure with multiple levels, slides, rope bridges, and water play sections in warmer months. Kids who aren't yet tall enough for adult rides can still spend 45 minutes in the treehouse and feel like they've conquered something real.

For parents managing mixed-age groups (a 4-year-old and a 10-year-old, for instance), Land of the Dragons provides an anchor point: while one parent takes older kids to adult rides, another parent and the youngest stay in Land of the Dragons without feeling like they're getting a diminished park experience.

Bring a change of clothes if visiting in warm months — the water features are designed for getting wet, and kids under 7 reliably will.
