WildPlay Maple Ridge

WildPlay Maple Ridge is an outdoor aerial adventure park set in the forests east of Vancouver. The park offers ziplines, treetop ropes courses, and a bungee jumping platform, all built into the natural forest canopy. It's the kind of place that makes kids (and adults) feel like they're on a real wilderness adventure.

The minimum age and height requirements vary by activity. Most ropes courses require participants to be at least 7 years old with minimum height requirements, so this isn't a destination for younger children. Tweens and teens are the primary audience, and they'll find genuine physical challenges here — the courses range from beginner-friendly to legitimately difficult.

All participants get fitted with safety harnesses and receive instruction before heading out. Staff members are positioned throughout the courses. The safety record is strong, and the equipment is well-maintained. That said, anyone with a serious fear of heights should think carefully before committing.

The park is outdoors and weather-dependent. They operate primarily on weekends during shoulder season and daily during summer. Rain can lead to closures or slippery conditions, so check their website or call before making the drive out to Maple Ridge, which is about 45 minutes east of downtown Vancouver.

There's no food service on-site, so eat before you arrive or pack snacks. The town of Maple Ridge has several family restaurants if you need a meal after your adventure. Wear closed-toe shoes with good grip — sandals and flip-flops won't be allowed. Long pants are recommended to avoid rope burn on the courses.

Parking is free and available at the trailhead. Book your time slot online in advance, especially during summer weekends, as slots fill up quickly.
