About
The Adventure Group (TAG) is one of Whistler's largest outdoor adventure companies, operating year-round from their base near the village. While technically a Whistler business, many Vancouver families make the 90-minute drive up the Sea-to-Sky Highway specifically for TAG's activities, and they're a staple of family adventure trips to the area.
Their signature experiences include zipline tours through the forest canopy, bungee jumping from a bridge over the Cheakamus River, whitewater rafting on the Elaho-Squamish River, and jet boat tours on the river. Each activity is professionally guided with all safety equipment provided.
For families, the zipline tours are the most universally appealing. The Superfly Zipline course includes lines that stretch up to 2 km across valleys and through old-growth forest. Minimum age is typically 6-8 depending on the course, and kids must meet minimum weight requirements (varies by course). The guides are enthusiastic and good at helping nervous first-timers.
Whitewater rafting is available for families with kids 8+ (some calmer sections allow younger kids). TAG offers different river sections rated by difficulty, from family-friendly Class 2 rapids to more challenging Class 4 runs for experienced teens. All participants wear wetsuits, helmets, and life jackets.
Bungee jumping has a minimum age of 10 and requires the participant's weight to fall within safety parameters. It's a 160-foot jump from a bridge — not for the faint-hearted but a bucket-list experience for adrenaline-seeking teens.
Booking through their website is straightforward, and they offer combination packages that bundle multiple activities for a better per-activity rate. Whistler accommodation and dining are separate — many Vancouver families do a TAG activity as a day trip from the city.

Why Kids Love It
The Adventure Group runs ziplines, bungee jumping, whitewater rafting, and jet boating in Whistler — it's the kind of extreme outdoor fun that teens dream about. The rush of whipping through a forest canopy on a zipline stays with kids for years.
