Tap & Barrel Bridges is a large, family-friendly restaurant on Granville Island with one of the best waterfront patios in Vancouver. The menu leans Canadian with burgers, fish and chips, flatbreads, and salads, plus a solid kids menu. The food is a step above pub fare without being fussy. Portions are generous, and the kitchen handles dietary requests well. They have a full beer and wine list for parents who want a drink with their meal.

The restaurant is spacious with high ceilings indoors and a sprawling patio outside. Even on busy days, it doesn't feel cramped. Strollers fit easily between tables indoors, and the patio has room for them along the perimeter. High chairs are available.

Timing matters here — the patio fills up fast on summer weekends. Arrive by 11:30 AM for lunch to snag waterfront seats without a long wait.
