John Lawson Park Playground

John Lawson Park Playground is a waterfront playground in West Vancouver, right on the shoreline at one of the most scenic spots in the Greater Vancouver area. With a 4.9 Google rating, it's one of the highest-rated playgrounds in the region, and the setting explains why.

The playground equipment is suitable for toddlers through about age 10, with climbing structures, slides, and swings. What sets it apart from other playgrounds is the location: it's directly adjacent to the beach and waterfront path, with views across Burrard Inlet to the North Shore mountains. Kids can alternate between the playground equipment and the rocky beach, poking around in tide pools and throwing rocks into the water.

John Lawson Park itself surrounds the playground and offers grassy areas for picnics, benches along the waterfront, and a paved walking path that connects to the larger West Vancouver waterfront trail. It's the kind of place where a quick playground visit easily turns into a two-hour afternoon.
