About

Dezerland Park Orlando occupies a massive former car dealership on International Drive and manages to fit more family entertainment into one building than most dedicated theme parks. The main draw is the multi-level go-kart track — with a family track (parents and young kids ride together) and a faster adult/teen track on upper levels, there's something for every age group. Bowling lanes, a massive arcade floor with hundreds of machines, a dine-in movie theater, escape rooms, and an indoor mini-golf course round out the entertainment options.

What makes Dezerland genuinely worth knowing about: the vintage and exotic car museum that occupies a significant portion of the ground floor is completely free to browse. Kids who are into cars — or who've seen the Batmobile in movies — will stop dead in their tracks when they see a screen-accurate Batmobile from the 1966 TV series, plus Ferraris, Lamborghinis, and military vehicles. Parents who'd otherwise be bored at an arcade will find themselves genuinely interested.

Because everything is indoors and climate-controlled, Dezerland is one of the best rainy-day options in the Orlando area. It's also open late — until 10PM or 11PM on weekends — making it a solid evening activity if you've already done a theme park during the day.

Activity pricing is à la carte or by bundle — the bundle packages offer better value if you plan to do more than two activities. Weekday afternoons are the sweet spot: lower prices, shorter waits, and more room to move. Saturday evenings are peak time, especially for go-karts.

Why Kids Love It

Dezerland Park is the rare spot where a family can go bowling, race go-karts, play a massive arcade, and watch a movie all under one enormous roof — a converted auto dealership on International Drive. The vintage car museum on the ground floor genuinely impresses car-obsessed kids who will stand and stare at a 1960s Batmobile. The multi-level go-kart tracks include a speed track for older kids and teens and a family track where parents can ride with young children.

Pro Tips from Parents

  • The multi-story go-kart track has different age/height requirements for each level — check before you buy.
  • Arcade card reload stations are throughout the building; get the rechargeable card (better value than tokens).
  • The vintage car museum portion is free to walk through — worth doing even if you're not doing other activities.
  • Arrive in the first hour after opening on weekends to avoid go-kart queues that can stretch 30+ minutes by mid-afternoon.
  • Dezerland has a food court and a restaurant — the food court is faster and cheaper.

What to Bring

  • Closed-toe shoes (required for go-karts)
  • Cash or card for arcade credits
  • Socks for bowling
