Rapids River Atlantis

Rapids River is the signature feature of Atlantis's Aquaventure water park on Paradise Island — a mile-long river ride that loops through the resort's elaborate Mayan-themed landscape. Unlike a standard lazy river, this one has actual rapids sections, waterfall plunges, and views into marine habitats that house sharks and rays.

For kids, the appeal is relentless. Each bend in the river brings something new — a dark tunnel, a rush of white water, or a window into a fish-filled lagoon. The ride is circular, so families can do it multiple times without doubling back. Inner tubes are provided.

The experience is best for kids who are comfortable in moving water and meet the height minimums on any rapids sections (usually 48 inches for certain fast sections). Younger or smaller kids can ride with a parent but should be strong swimmers or wear a life vest, which are available throughout the park.
