Sometimes kids just need to run. After days of car seats, nature walks with rules, and being told to stay on the trail — a plain, free playground is exactly what the family needs.

This neighborhood playground in Moab, located on 400 N, is a no-frills local park that families visiting the area often use as a reset point. It's not a destination in itself, but it fills a real gap for families with toddlers and young kids who need unstructured movement time.

The location is convenient — close to the heart of Moab — so you can easily swing by between activities. Toddlers and kids up to about age 9 or 10 will get the most out of it. Older kids may find it underwhelming, but for the little ones, any playground is an adventure.

Important note for summer visitors: Moab is HOT. Get here before 10-11AM if possible. There's limited shade, and the equipment can get scorching by midday. Sunscreen, hats, and water are non-negotiable in July and August.

Admission is completely free, which is a rarity in a tourist town where everything has a price tag. Pack a snack and let the kids go wild for an hour — everyone will be in a better mood for the afternoon's adventures.
